While pondering the bathroom quandary, the dining room is getting done.  Well sort of.  Why, oh why would I only buy three sheets of wallpaper for a room that has, as usual, four walls!?  All plausible answers please on a postcard sent to …

The site it’s bought from is no longer with us and I’ve been unable this evening to locate another stockist.  It seems that who ever lives in this diminutive house has the chimney breast painted.  That’s the only answer I’ve come up with so far.

Where is the dining room that is going to be inadequately papered?
I like to line the walls with mountboard and apply the wallpaper to it.

I find sticking it to the mountboard and then sticking the whole to the house makes for easier handling and fitting and squaring up too – though it makes for smaller rooms

I’ve ‘X’ cut the paper where it is over the serving hatch or the window so that I can wrap the paper over the edges of the boarding

giving this neater finish – much easier to dress with wood or whatever is required when the edge is finished already

Will push on with what’s to hand at next session unless a sudden discovery of wallpaper is made.
