Third wall and lighting

View from the ‘street’

I do enjoy peeping into dolls houses from different angles.  In this instance, once the third wall had been finally sort of squared up and fixed, it was obvious that the room was going to be too dark with just two wall lights – so dark I couldn’t get an adequate photo to show you.  The non-working ceiling fixture needed replacing with a more useful working one.

Peering through windows and viewing the results gives me a good idea of how hanging lights are hanging and how they all work together.

The newly added one had its wire threaded the wrong side of a hanging chain thereby shortening its hang on that side.  Having looked into undoing the muddle I decided that discretion was the better part of … and that I’d probably crack the shade or bust the wire so tackled it by working round the other way and shorten the other two with a cut off piece of Glu-dot each at the point the chains attach to the shade.  Result: it pulled them up just a little bit.  Almost level now I think.

Then, somewhat ahead of time, I added the ‘obligatory’ vase to the window cill 🙂
