Slowly working along the wall


Did you ever, as a very small child, balance on people’s’ garden walls as you walked down the street?  Well this is going to be a wall on which I don’t think you could do that – sorry.

I did consider putting the gate opposite the front door so that the break in the slice of the house might coincide with part of it, but it didn’t look quite as inviting as an off-set one.

Weathering the walls a little

Meanwhile am working on the long run of wall and possible colouration of the not so walkable stone topping. Bit more brown shading in there perhaps?

    • “Curb appeal” is not an expression that comes my way often. Don’t know if we use it here. But what would I know? I’ve lived out in the countryside for the last 40 years and, as it happens we don’t have curbs 🙂 Just stuck down the wall and am fighting a gate design at the moment.
