Just poddling along nursing my hand

The easiest thing to do at the moment is to continue fiddling with the curtains for the three bedrooms – quick and easy jobs with very little detail requiring opposable thumb action.

First, though, I’ve changed the rug in the bay window for a vintage item.
The net and the curtain fabric are all balancing and the pelmet that has to go up is painted the same colour as the rest of the woodwork which is a dark fawn with a touch of lilac brown – (see bottom right piece of skirting board by the dressing screen)

Here we have the one I nicknamed ‘Sanderson’ and I’m still not comfortable with it, I’m afraid.

While poddling

Backing off to catch the cream counterpane and floral eiderdown

The sage brings the cushions, blanket box and dressing screen together and the pink picks out the roses on the eiderdown.  Grim or not I think it’s green.  Unless …

Today the weather is not inviting so no outdoor activity so having a go with some small work and we’ll see how that left hand of mine gets on – nothing ventured etc 😉
