I’ve moved the over-large globe!

Sorting through furniture for the bedrooms and storing away the speculative buys that just don’t fit.  Have come up with this sort of furnishing in the young boys’ bedroom, leaving plenty of floor space for playing in.  The large space at the back is where I’m imagining a clothes horse tent caught between the mattresses and held on the chair arm then draped/pegged over the clothes horse which will be on the right, nearest the ‘note to self’ where the fireplace will be.  I fear there will be a cat involved in this somewhere 😉

  1. The boys who live here sound just like my brother and me. Clothes horse tents! I’d forgotten all about them.
I love the furniture in this room, that cared for but not quite matching element is so evocative of my childhood room. I can’t help feeling modern, everything-must-match homes are far less interesting and individual.

    • Great to hear from you! Couldn’t agree with you more about the ‘everything matching’ routine – very little opportunity for personality to bloom in the decor – one size very rarely fits all
