Working around the walls till I meet the fireplace wall

Dining room

Slowly working way round the woodwork for the dining room and filling in the in between drying time by attempting to turn my hand to clocks, but more of that another time.

Jobs so far

theinfill art deco dolls house blog, theinfill dolls house blog, theinfill 1930s-50s Deco House, Hogepotche Hall –Hodgepodge Hall - Medieval Tudor Jacobean dolls house blog - finishing edges - dining room finishing edges at joins

Continued to dress/colour the edges of the main building where the sitting room will meet it

Must place an order for the drop-leaf table kit from Jane Harrop.  I’d like it to go in front of the window with a couple of chairs and balance off that wall.

Having left various walls off this construction so as to leave elbow room for the fiddly bits, I wasn’t going to fall for the old “well, the walls are all ready why not just put them up then?” routine.  The chimney breast wall is sitting in its box waiting patiently and should come to no harm for the moment.

Firmly working on the dining/kitchen party wall and the window wall, I’ve added hatch surround, doorway surround and all the window bits and bobs, including glazing, curtains and pelmet; the latter looks like I’ve removed it from an hotel room but I fancied a curve in here somewhere.

Waiting on a carpet before fitting the fireplace wall so can tell how much hearth I can get in and then, I think it should be full steam ahead for putting in that last wall.
