Curved window cill and straightened newel

Standard

Was moving on with the landing and, despite my wonder system of storing all my prepared sets of things, in this case a couple of newel posts to go with the rest of the bannisters, I just can’t find them.  In a bit of a moody I decided to straighten out the newel at the top of the stairs as it’s was a long way off from upright.  Feel better now for doing that and have fiddled on with the landing window cill, adding a home-made air drying clay pot.  The flowers need replacing with something a little jollier perhaps, but for the moment they do the job as it were.

Now I need to cut out more posts – I’ve pre-painted the wood and may have a go in the next few days perhaps.

Quite like the curved look for the window cill; gives it a little more interest.
