First Cuts

theinfill dolls house blog Hogepotche Hall –Hodgepodge Hall - a Medieval, Tudor, Jacobean dolls house blog - reshaping an Deco house - first fittings of curved windows into foam board plus other half of frontage

Didn’t need the drawing to paste on to the bay section, just the measurements but have pasted on the door and two other windows scale drawing to rest of frontage.

Paper covering to go on the bay section to help hold the curves then hoping to clad part of facade in red Flemish bond fibreglass sheeting with a thin band of white render effect at the top half.

Already getting messy and next stage is to make sure I can use a good join/insertion/support for the meeting of the two pieces of board, whilst hiding some extra support in the outer porch-wall angle.  Will also be adding the flooring for the recessed porch and the rooms with the bay to help support the whole structure.

But first I must cut out a mirror version of the bay at the very least, on the off-chance that the second semi ever gets built with its modern bay and updated closed porch etc so that the pair of houses get the best chance of matching size.  I’ve taken photocopies of the scale drawing of the frontage, flipped/mirrored them and am holding them in a “safe place” against the possibility of a later need  😉
