Oops, I forgot to mention

Just a quick word
– glazing the curve on the second window

I didn’t fancy more muffin case holders or similar so I bent a piece of acetate with hot water.  It took a couple of experiments to get the curve that would work but it was well worth it.

The only thing going for the muffin case acetate packaging and glazing the curve in two pieces it was that it allowed leeway for any discrepancy in the curve of the five struts involved in the shape, whereas the one piece acetate doesn’t.

Both windows will get another coat of paint when they’re finally in place in the yet to be built bay walling.

Another room scheme taking shape

Dining Room:  The paler strip at the bottom is a piece of light khaki green marbled wallpaper I’m thinking of using as lino round the edges – might swap it out with one of the other room linos I think

Beginning to get a handle on this, I think, so I’m hoping the internet will hold out this afternoon so that I can review some items on the cutting and handling of foam board.

  1. Excellent…. I wonder if using a piece of a pop bottle would also do the job? E.g. Morrison’s 2L sparkling water which costs around 18p. [No doubt other supermarkets have similar bottles.]
