Failure to resist temptation
The time has come to dabble my toes in a parallel project. Just a small something. It’s been creeping up on me in the shape of various items that seem to be following me home after I’ve passed a charity or thrift shop. They wave at me excitedly from windows and shelves and the next thing I know I’ve got lodgers in the workspace, precariously balancing on top of books and cupboards.
This particular item comes from a different ‘stable’; it leaped out from an eBay page to take up residence on the top of some bookshelves, and as it could seriously bray someone on the noddle if it slipped from its new perch, it seemed time to take notice. It’s a pencil/pen holder, or was sold as such. Lovely gothic objet whatsit, is it not?
Add to this an interesting figure (or head and shoulders):
Sprinkle in a little ‘foresty’ this and that:
Give it a large enough dollop of time (possibly throw in some sage and rosemary while you’re at it) and see what evolves.
