Aside

A Nicky Bott 24th scale figure plus largish puppy

The figure has such a wonderful facial expression – ideal for the addressing of dogs, don’t you think?  The kneeling body, herein after to be known as Thomas, is dealing with logs and kindling, and now a dog which is one of many.

Not these sticks, you don’t

Thomas’s jerkin was a lovely shade of powder blue and ideal in softness for such a little figure.  I stained the leather on its inner suede surface with wood stain which came through nicely and made it a dusty grey brown.

The dog needs some colour toning applied too to make it look a little less like a blob of Plasticine perhaps – (and that’s my polite version: it’s a little off-putting in shade).

and licking my face isn’t on either – no time to play

Ah, yes, dogs and sticks – hmm, a problem?
